Discovering Poznań

This day we had to wake up earlier because we had our bus to Poznań at 9:00. We were driving with a very funny bus driver - Mr Franek who was telling jokes all the way and basically he was the only one who was laughing because of these jokes and we were laughing because of his laugh!

Firstly, we had a meeting with Miss Alicja Kobus in Jewish Community. She told us how and why she created this community. We also heard some sad stories about situation in Israel in Gas region. We could ask her few questions and she explained us how important is human being and helping each other.

After visit there was a time for balloons happening "The big and the smallest dreams". We went on a
Freedom Square in Poznań and start at 12:00. Each of us got few balloons with a piece of paper and we were searching for people who want to write their dreams and send them to the sky with balloon.

We are building our dreams!

All day was really busy. Actually we started working at 10 and finish it in the late evening.
But
the weather was so great that there are no reasons to complain :)
Everyone
has finished their own board of dreams and needs, branches and hammocks!
There is nothing I can say more but I think that pictures below show results of our work!

Exhausting but exciting!

And the third day is just finished...We started from breakfast at 9:00 and then we left our place for the whole day just to spend it in MurowanaGoślina. We went with a few cars for the meeting with our vice mayor - Marcin Buliński. He told us many
interesting information about our town and presented how people from this region spend life in here.

After that we were divided into 5 groups and each of them has their own leader, because were playing CityGame created by Marycha. Each group had to visit the most popular and important places in Murowana
Goślina. They also had some extra tasks which they are going to show us on Saturday.While most of the people were playing city game, Kuba, Dymitr, Przemek and me prepared something to
decorate tables in the school as we were waiting for the delicious luch!

Our next step was creative artistic workshops made by Dymitr, we were working for a few hours making
benches
and boards of needs and dreams. Each of us got a special board, we could use only threads, nails and stamps!

Day 1

Our first full day started late, mostly due to the fact that the participants from Georgia and Armenia only got here in the early hours of the morning and they needed some time to catch up on their sleep.  Not that we complained,  with most of us sleeping late.

We had breakfast all together and then the actual programme of activities started with some more icebreakers, this time with the whole group present.  It was not easy to learn everyone's name but in the end I think most managed.

Before we knew it, the participants were making up their own game, learning about each other and the different countries.

Next we spent some time talking about rules and we agreed on a few basic ones like respecting each other,  participating actively,  and listening to each other.

Przemek and Marta then introduced the first workshop called "Identity Caught in a Frame". Participants were paired, asked to find out as much about each other as possible and to then take a photo which represents them. These photos will be used in the second part of the workshop tomorrow.

After a scrumptious lunch,we had some free time and then Jakub led an extremely interesting discusion about our identities and life experiences with a vivid exchange of opinions and ideas across the different generations present.

After a quick break during which we were treated to drożożówica, a traditional delicacy fresh from the local baker, the workshop went on. Participants had the opportunity to look at the way different community groups are perceived by society in general,  the prejudices that exist and how these do not necessarily vary much between the various groups.

The workshops challenged us to think outside our frames of reference,  to put ourselves in other people's shoes and hopefully help all of us grow to be better persons.

Through my eyes :)

What a wonderful day!
But before sleeping I'm going to make some post about how it was.

Actually, the main informations you can read in the post of Charlote who wrote about almost eveything what
we did today, but I will add some extras stories!

I had an opportunity to make photography workshops with Przemek. We divided all of the participants into pairs and gave them few minutes to get to know each other more, and then to make photographies which will show each participant personality. Here is an example of my photo, which Przemek took:

Charlote already mentioned about Identify workshops which Jakub and Ania prepared, so I won't add nothing more. I will just add some photos maybe with a short comment :)

Here, we were showing movement and saying name of every participant.
